Refractory precast blocks are factory-formed lining units assembled on site by lifting. Their advantages: short outages, stable quality and machinable complex shapes — ideal for high-frequency repair zones and shaped structures.
The flow has six steps: (1) drawing detailing — split the lining into blocks with sizes, weights and lifting points; (2) material confirmation — choose grade (corundum, high-alumina, mullite…) and anchoring per service; (3) fabrication — batch, mix, cast with embedded anchors; (4) curing & pre-firing — standard curing then moisture removal in a baking kiln; (5) inspection — check dimensional tolerance, surface and physical data per block; (6) installation — lift in numbered order and seal joints with matched mortar.
Acceptance points: verify block dimensions against drawing, anchor positions, pre-fired state and absence of through cracks. Store on timber with weather protection; use dedicated lifting gear to avoid damage.
