The Complete Custom Special-Shape Brick Process

From drawing to finished brick: drawing confirmation, tooling/machining, trial, inspection and packing. Know the flow to get your custom pieces right the first time.

Special-shaped bricks are the “joints” of a lining — complex shapes and tight tolerances make a disciplined custom process decisive. A complete flow has five stages:

1. Drawing confirmation: provide dimensional drawings or field measurements; confirm shape, tolerance, chamfers and laying method. Arch bricks, door bricks, burner blocks and peepholes all need defined positions and load directions.

2. Tooling & machining plan: standard shapes are pressed, complex ones CNC-cut and milled — each trades cost against precision. Songrui recommends the best route by shape and batch size.

3. Trial: produce a trial batch with dimensional reports; after confirming tolerances (typically ±1–2 mm) and surface quality, move to production.

4. Inspection: batch-check appearance, dimensions and physical data; ship with certificates and test reports, and arrange third-party sampling for critical items.

5. Packing & delivery: reinforced wooden cases or pallets prevent transit damage, with packing lists and markings.
