Magnesia-Carbon Brick
Magnesia-carbon brick bonds magnesia with graphite (MgO≥76%, C 14-18%, 1750℃ max). Carbon does not wet slag, giving exceptional slag-line erosion resistance and thermal-shock stability far better than burned magnesia brick.

Magnesia brick with periclase as the main phase (MgO≥95%, refractoriness ≥2000℃) offers outstanding resistance to basic slags and iron-oxide slag plus excellent high-temperature performance.
| MgO Content | ≥95% |
|---|---|
| Refractoriness | ≥2000℃ |
| Bulk Density | ≥2.90 g/cm³ |
| CCS | ≥60 MPa |
Magnesia bricks use fused and sintered magnesia with MgO ≥95%, refractoriness ≥2000℃ and bulk density ≥2.90 g/cm³. Extremely high refractoriness, resistance to basic slag and iron oxide, high hot strength and dense erosion resistance. It is Henan Songrui's professional grade for non-ferrous smelting furnaces and mixers under basic conditions.
Use for basic slag duty; never in direct contact with acid bricks (violent reaction at high temperature); store moisture-proof and lay with magnesia mortar.
Lay with magnesia mortar, tight joints; store moisture-proof to avoid hydration. Installation guidance available.

Magnesia brick is highly refractory with extreme basic-slag resistance:
MgO is basic and inert to basic slags, giving extreme erosion resistance for converters and non-ferrous furnaces.
Copper converters, anode furnaces, nickel furnaces, cement burning zones, converter linings.
High thermal expansion gives limited thermal shock resistance—control heat-up rate to avoid spalling.

Magnesia-alumina spinel brick (MgO≥88%, Al₂O₃ 6-10%) is a chrome-free, environmentally friendly alternative to magnesia-chrome. Thermal-shock stability ≥8 cycles, resistant to cement clinker and alkali condensation.

Magnesia-chrome brick (MgO≥60%, Cr₂O₃≥12%, refractoriness ≥1900℃) with magnesia-chromite spinel structure resists attack by high-temperature slags and melts with high hot strength and washout resistance.

Magnesia-calcium brick (MgO≥70%, CaO≥20%, refractoriness ≥1900℃) uses free CaO to absorb inclusions during refining, cleaning steel and improving cleanliness—the dedicated brick for refining ladles. For LF, VD and VOD ladle working linings and slag lines, and secondary refining ladle walls.
