Description

Checker Brick

Material System & Positioning

Checker bricks are special-shaped refractories for hot blast stove regenerators: Al₂O₃ 45-75%, load softening point ≥1500℃ and CCS ≥45 MPa. The multi-hole/honeycomb plate structure gives large specific surface and high heat-exchange efficiency, with hole patterns customized by stove design. It is Henan Songrui's core accessory grade for BF hot blast stove regenerators.

Key Performance

  • Large specific surface: high heat-exchange efficiency.
  • Custom holes: multi-hole/honeycomb per stove type.
  • Material zoning: high-alumina/low-creep/mullite by temperature zone.
  • Stable structure: stable under hot load.

Applications

  • Steel & Iron: hot blast stove regenerators.
  • Glass: glass furnace regenerator checkers.
  • Associated: complete hot blast stove design.

Selection Advice

Zone by stove temperature: low-creep/mullite for upper hot zones, high-alumina for middle-lower; holes per process design. Complete regenerator design available.

Installation & Maintenance

Align holes strictly during laying to prevent dust plugging; keep channels clear. Installation guidance available.

Typical Applications

Checker brick is the core heat-exchange element of hot blast stoves:

  • Steel & Iron: BF hot blast stove checkers (high-alumina/mullite for hot zones, fireclay for lower).
  • Glass: glass furnace regenerator checkers.
  • Advantage: service up to 1550℃ (high-alumina), large specific surface for high heat exchange, customizable hole patterns.

FAQs

Purpose of checker brick?

As the stove heat storage body, alternating heat storage/release heats the blast above 1200℃.

Materials of checker brick?

High-alumina/mullite for hot zones, fireclay for lower zones, zoned by temperature.

Custom hole patterns?

Yes—five-hole, seven-hole and special patterns made to drawing.
